I’ve been negligent! I admit it.
It has been a ridiculously long time since I have posted here. I could blame some fairly hefty life events/changes, but at the end of the day, I’ve just been busy. I thought I would drop a quick writing update here for all of you who have been so patiently waiting. Amidst the craziness, I have found the random opportunity to write. So, although we are behind the schedule I had hoped for, we are still moving forward. First: The second draft for Book 2 of The Warrior Poet Archives is done and out to early readers. This puts us on schedule for a mid-2020 publication. (I say that, knowing that I will try to have it out sooner, but at the same time…well, we all know how proficient I have been at hitting deadlines.) Soon, that is the answer to when it will be out and ready. I’m really pleased with how this book has come together, and the early feedback has been very encouraging. Just hang in there gang, and we’ll all take a trip to the Nine Cities very soon. Second: While I wait for edits to come back from earlier readers, I have started writing the first book in a new MG series. With the age of my kids, I wanted to write something that will be a good fit for them to be able to tackle early on. I’m pretty excited about the new story, and with the length of MG books, I hope to complete the first book in a relatively short time. This will also serve the purpose of clearing my mind, so that I can come back to final edits with fresh eyes. Stay tuned for more updates on this series as we move forward. Until then, Blessings, and Read with Joy! |
